✅ Step 1: Pick One Platform
Where are your ideal clients spending time? For most consultants, it’s LinkedIn. For others, maybe it’s Instagram or a specific education-focused network.
Spend at least 80% of your content energy on the one platform where your target audience is most active.
✅ Step 2: Cut Back on the Rest
You don’t have to delete other accounts — but stop trying to keep up everywhere. Use the remaining 20% of your time to lightly repurpose your top-performing content for one or (at most) two secondary platforms.
✅ Step 3: Increase Frequency and Consistency on Your Primary Channel
If you’re posting once a week, increase it to twice. If you’re already at two, bump it to three. Consistency and visibility are what build trust, engagement, and authority over time.
This isn’t about working harder — it’s about focusing smarter.
Extend the Focused Strategy Beyond Social Media
This focus mantra should apply across your entire content strategy.
- Are you trying to write a blog, launch a podcast, and film YouTube videos at the same time?
- Take a step back. Look at the results.
- Identify the one channel that’s driving the most leads or engagement. (If it helps to visualize Curly holding up his finger, so be it.)
Once you find that one channel, double down. Improve quality. Increase frequency. Show up consistently. Cut the rest (for now).
Example: If your blog drives the most traffic, commit to publishing every week instead of every other week. Let that content become a lead magnet, SEO asset, and shareable resource.
